I’m Sibo Wang, an engineer at Alibaba, developing financial systems and AI agents for Taobao and Tmall. My previous work spans international commerce and transaction fund management. I’m looking to focus more deeply on building AI agents for production and applying them to business needs.
I received an MSc in Information Technology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2025 (full-time, 2024–2025), following a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Zhengzhou University in 2021 (2017–2021).
I joined Alibaba in July 2021 after completing my undergraduate degree and have been there ever since. I spent three years ensuring the reliability of international commerce transactions and working on fund settlement, before shifting my focus to financial systems and AI agents. Before joining full-time, I interned at Zhongyuan Bank from September 2020 to March 2021, and at Alibaba from May to August 2020.
Outside work, I enjoy running, reading, and travel. I share engineering practice and reflections on life through this blog.
